Family STEAM Night is Thursday, February 27!
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math
Come with your whole family from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
(All children must be accompanied by an adult)
Here is a peek at some of the activities that you can take part in at STEAM night…
• 5th grade will be firing off marshmallow catapults!
• Learn how to build snap circuits and balloon rockets
• Learn about coding with Mr. Walters
• Learn why Shrinky Dinks shrink and create your own
• Build an igloo and a snowflake
• Draw a Muffalo Potato
• Create a mosaic
And much, much more!
Special guests include:
National Weather Service: Learn about the science behind our weather system
Fire Department: Learn about fire safety and the equipment used to put out fires
S.C.O.P.E. will be here with Operation Family I.D.
Kid Smile Dentistry: Learn about good dental hygiene
Tate’s Honey Farm: Lean about how honeybees help out our planet
Spokane Valley Library: A surprise STEAM activity that is sure to delight!
West Valley Outdoor Learning Center: Learn about birds of prey and meet one!
Food Sense: See what the sugar in our food does to your body
Spokane Astronomical Society: Check out the night sky with a powerful telescope
Master Gardener: Learn about composting and meet some very important worms
